The Lexington Warehouse project consists of 21 tobacco curing and shipping warehouses built in 1938. These warehouses include approximately 104,000 board feet (each) of extremely clean and straight southern yellow pine

Wood from these warehouses consists of 3 components:
beams, posts and decking
Dimensions are as follows:
beams - 8"x 12" x 18 ft
posts - 8"x 8"x 12 ft
decking - (2.75"x 5" x 20 ft) and (2.75"x 7" x 20 ft)
G.F. Vaughan Tobacco Warehouses.
This series of 21 connected warehouses separated by a 3 foot thick firewall is being deconstructed by hand and small machines and tools.
Step 1: each roof must be stripped of a tar and aggrigate built-up roof.
Step 2: all nails and bolts are removed from the decking material.
Step 3: Roof deck is removed and bundled.
Step 4: Beams are removed from posts, posts are removed.
