Here's some useful info that applies to all Toyota vehicles. The date of manufacture on any Aisan carburetor from 1963 to the present is stamped in small letters on the top front of the carb. The format is Y M DD.
Y is a single digit for the year,
M is a single letter for the month with A= Jan, B=Feb C=MArch and so on
DD is two digits for the date.
A carb with the code <6 F 22> would have been manufactured on the 22nd day of June of a year ending in 6. It's up to you to figure out if it is '76 or '86 or '96.
This code also applies to throttle bodies on all Toyotas and some Aisan manufactured fuel pumps.
Carbs prior to 1963 have a funky letter code that I have not figured out yet. If anyone has any information on this code contact me with it please! fj40jim@aol.com
