New year and new projects for the lake! Sometime in February the bank Deb works at decided to remodel and replace all the cabinets in their kitchen area. We were allowed to get all we could haul off! A bonus is they are heavy duty industrial cabinets and are a color that perfectly matches the kitchen!

We for some reason failed to take hardly any pictures of the kitchen remodeling! The messiest job of the total renovation and no pics... Well trust me it was bad. We started ripping out stuff Saturday. Under the cabinets was nasty with mouse droppings and crud and it SMELLED! Deb decided that the range was just too gross and had to be replaced. It only took about 4 hours to tear out the sink, all the floor cabinets, all the wall cabinets, and the range. The trailer was a mess with crap stacked everywhere on top of everything! Poor Deb was going nuts... We had a huge pile of old cabinets and stuff at the burn pile.

After disinfecting the floor and walls, I set the base cabinets in place, then set the counter top, and started trying to get everything aligned. Fun stuff indeed! It all lined up pretty good so I started on the plumbing. I had to extend the PVC supply lines and redo the drain completely. I did not complete the plumbing this weekend as I did not quite know how to do the ice maker hook-up. Next weekend my brother is coming to help me.

Sunday we hauled the old range back to Lexington to use as a powder coating oven.

Brought the rest of the cabinets down for the kitchen and bathroom. Had to modify a couple of the kitchen cabinet doors due to the ceiling sagging but got them all up. Also mounted a new range hood. The new range will be installed next weekend.
