Harness Adapters
Part# HEI
Part# HAO62-1967
To add Hazard Light functionality
to any 1962 to 1967 FJ25/40/45, that has the standard 6 wire turn
signal setup, you need this adapter sub-harness.
This is a totally plug and play sub-harness, no
cutting or splicing your OEM harness!
This sub-harness plugs in between the turn signal
switch and the main harness, then a Hazard switch you provide plugs
into it. See below for Hazard switches that are supported.
It attaches to the fuse panel always hot power feed
to get power.
It comes pre-wired to use either the OEM 1968 to
6/1970 Hazard Switch, or the OEM 7/70 to 8/1972 Hazard Switch. Please
specify which switch you plan to use when ordering!
Other Hazard Switch Options: See this page for
all the FJ40/45 Hazards switches that are available: Hazard
Switches
If you want to use the 9/72 to 1984 FJ40/45 Hazard
switch with this harness you must replace the connector on it with
a 6 pin male connector (Part # M6P6.3) and a male bullet connector
as the mating connector used on this switch is no longer available,
nor are the terminals for it. If you send me the hazard switch,
I can replace the connector on it for $10.00 extra.
Qty.: 1 $79.00
(Does NOT include Hazard switch or Flasher!) PLEASE specify what
switch you have when ordering so I can put the correct connector
on your harness!!
Optional LED Flasher Part# FLED Qty.: 1 $19.95
Optional Connector Swap for user supplied 9/72 to
1984 FJ40/45 Hazard switch Qty.: 1 $10.00

Part# CTSA72-77
To interface a 9/72-9/77 Steering
Column to a 1958 to 9/71 FJ40 harness you need:
9/72-9/77 Column Turn Signal Connector
to 1958-9/71 Bullet Connector Adapter
This
adaptor allows you to electrically install a 9/72-9/77 steering
column into your early FJ40.
(Note: There are mechanical issues you have to deal with first.
:-) )This adapts the turn signal switch connector, the brake switch
wire, and the horn button connector of the later columns to mate
with the bullet connectors of the early harnesses.
Notes: The key switch connector
will just plug right in to the later column, though you may have
to un-tape it to gain some extra length. If you want to use the
dimmer switch on the column instead of the floor mounted OEM dimmer
switch, you will have to either un-tape your harness and move the
wires so they can reach the new column switch, or you can solder
on an extension harness and route that back into the cab to the
new column switch. Contact me for details on this extension harness.
Qty.: 1 $24.95

Signal Switch (with 6 separate male bullet connectors), to a 1972
ONLY main cowl harness (with the 6 pin female 6.3mm turn signal
switch connector on the main harness).
Has a MALE 6 pin 6.3mm connector to 6 separate
FEMALE bullets. Just plug this adapter in between the early turn
signal switch and the 1972 main cowl harness turn signal connector.
Match wire color to wire color.
Qty.: 1 $24.95

Part# CTSDHA73-77
To interface a 10/72-9/77 Steering
Column to a 1972 (10/71 to 9/72) FJ40 harness you need:
This adaptor
allows you to electrically install a 10/72-9/77 steering column
into your 1972 (10/71 to 9/72) FJ40.
(Note: There are mechanical issues you have to deal with first.
:-) )This adapts the turn signal switch connector, the brake switch
wire, the dimmer switch and the horn button connector of the later
columns to mate with the harness side connectors of the 10/71 to
9/72 harnesses.
PLEASE NOTE: USING THIS KIT DOES
NOT MEAN YOU CAN USE THE COLUMN KEY SWITCH (KEEP READING!!!)
The 10/71/ to 9/72 FJ40 has the
key switch mounted on the dash. Because the 10/71 to 9/72 harness
is when Toyota moved the fuse block to the kick panel area, the
key switch connector is wired differently than the earlier harnesses.
However: You MAY be able to get the column key switch connector
to plug into the cowl harness by un-taping the key switch connectors
on the column, AND the harness side, and rerouting them. Due to
variances in harnesses there is no guarantee this will work!

Part # CL001
Aftermarket Cigar Lighter Adapter
The aftermarket Cigar Light Sockets
have twin male 6.3mm terminals whereas the OEM Toyota Lighter socket

80 Series Master Cylinder (w/Fluid
Level Switch in Cap) Wiring Adapter
Using an 80 series Master Cylinder with the fluid
level sensor in the cap? This kit provides you with the means to
make the built in 80 Series Master Cylinder Low Brake Fluid Switch
actually work on your truck by utilizing the OEM FJ40/45 Low Brake
Pressure Light and wiring already in your truck. (Of course you
must have the light, the proper 4 wire brake switch, and wiring
for this to work! )
This wiring adapter works for years 1971 to 1975
and 1976 to 1978 FJ40/45. After installation, if the brake fluid
level gets low (or you left the Parking brake on, assuming you have
the parking brake switch installed and working), the OEM Brake Warning
Light will light up.
Please note the following: Toyota could not make
up their mind what color the Low Brake Pressure Sensor wires
were. According to all my notes, over the span of
1971 to 1978, they used solid Green, Green/White,
solid Red, and Red/White. If it matters to you, please specify what
color wire YOUR truck has, and I will build your kit with that color.
If you do not specify, I will choose.

80
Series Master Cylinder (w/Fluid Level switch in Reservoir) Wiring
Adapter
If you have the 80 series Master Cylinder with the
fluid level sensor connector in the side of the fluid reservoir
as pictured above, this is the kit you need! I finally found the
weird connector that plugs into that reservoir connector, so this
kit is even easier to install than the one above. The kit provides
you with the means to make the built in 80 Series Master Cylinder
Low Brake Fluid Switch actually work on your truck by utilizing
the OEM FJ40/45 Low Brake Pressure Light and wiring already in your
truck. (Of course you must have the Low Brake Pressure dash light,
the proper 4 wire brake switch, and the associated wiring in your
truck for this to work! )
This wiring adapter works for years 1971 to 1975
and 1976 to 1978 FJ40/45. After installation, if the brake fluid
level gets low (or you left the Parking brake on, assuming you have
the parking brake switch installed and working), the OEM Brake Warning
Light will light up.
